Reader To Reader, Inc.
Reader to Reader was founded in 2002 in Amherst, to provide current books to rural and inner-city
school libraries and classrooms. In only five years, it has had a tremendous impact: in addition to distributing
over 50,000 books to Massachusetts public schools statewide, RtoR has provided over 1,000,000 books
for Hurricane Katrina relief; thousands of books to poor rural schools in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and
Mississippi, as well as Detroit, and Navajo, Arapaho and Pine Ridge Reservations.
