Donating Stock

Donating appreciated stock can be a "tax-wise" way to conduct your charitable giving!

If you would like to donate appreciated stock, we suggest that you send a Letter of Authorization to your broker, including how many total shares of stock you wish to transfer, your account number, and a line by line description of how many shares, and to whom, you would like the stock distributed.

Our account is handled by Sentinel Securities, Inc., a member of NASD and SIPC. Our account number is SX7-000396-121. The DTC number is 0226 (stock transfer number). If you would like to donate restricted stock or if you need assistance with the stock transfer, please contact Kendra Snavely, who handles the Catalogue account at Sentinel Securities, at 617-338-8230.

Next, please send a letter or an email to the Catalogue indicating the charities to which we should distribute your gift. You may designate any number of charities to receive distributions -- either by individual name, entire category (Nature, Culture, Human Services or International) or to all 2005 Catalogue charities.
