Today, the number of families in difficult life circumstances who cannot provide the necessary living conditions for their children continues to grow. The number of street children and homeless children is also growing. That is why our charitable organization organized the Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children program.
This program has been operating since 2006 and is aimed at providing children in need of social and psychological assistance and rehabilitation with a temporary place of residence. The Center’s work is based on the idea of ensuring a child’s right to a decent standard of living, care, quality education and interesting leisure. The goal of the work, in turn, is to overcome difficulties in a timely manner and provide family upbringing for orphans and children deprived of parental care, as well as return children in crisis to their biological families. In the absence of such an opportunity, the Center’s specialists facilitate the placement of children for adoption and family-based care.
Children are referred to the Center by the Service for Children, the Criminal Police for Children, and can also apply on their own. While the Children’s Service works to solve the problem of each child, we provide children with a full range of services, care and support.
The Center accepts children aged 2 to 16 years. Before starting work, the specialists of our organization assess the needs of the child and his or her immediate social environment, evaluate the family situation and family ties, and draw up an individual plan of work with each child. The children are provided with a temporary place of residence, as well as four meals a day, soft and hard equipment. It is mandatory to organize a medical examination and provide medicines if necessary. Specialists provide pedagogical support, organize individual and group classes aimed at developing independent living skills and children’s talents. Children are also accompanied to educational institutions. At the same time, our team is constantly working to organize the best option for placing a child in family-based care.
